John, the boys, and I went out to dinner to The Palm. The restaurant is located on 233 East Houston Street, San Antonio, TX.
If you have good money to spend, The Palm will not disappoint. Going through the doors you step right in to a classic New York Steakhouse. Staff is knowledgeable with some waiters who remind me of Bobo in Moonlighting.
For me beef carpaccio is a hit or miss when ordering in a restaurant. But this appetizer was a hit for the whole table, so smooth and flavorful with the lemon, black pepper, olive oil it will make your taste buds dance.
For any carnivore the steaks will make your eyes close in ecstasy. And if you Oscar your steak you will be soaring as the hollandaise is made to perfection it is that silky.
I was skeptical ordering a 3-pound Nova Scotia lobster thinking it would have no flavor and be so rubbery it would feel like I was chewing on old boots. However the lobster was full of flavor and served tender. Plus, ordering 3-pounds gave everyone at the table a chance to sample (which they most certainly did).
Price is high but well worth the mooga (big money).
Until next time, happy creating.
