With all the celebrity restaurants and up-and-comers, restaurant prices in Las Vegas rise at a staggering rate. John and I enjoy finding new places to dine, whether an elegant restaurant, newly opened establishment, or a tried and true diner. However, with all the advertising going into these new celebrity chef eateries and bistros, the reasonably priced places are not getting the attention they deserve. The Grand Lux Café at the Venetian is one of them.
John and I want foodie flavor bombs that explode on the palate, senses, and expectations. To us, some of these “celebrity” places don’t quite hit the mark, and for what they charge are not worth partaking. One of my pet peeves is cold food. It can be a flavorful dish, but if it is supposed to be hot then serve it hot or you lost the dish and customer. Hot dishes, flavor, and consistency are much looked over values as to who the chef is, where the restaurant is located, and who the person is patronizing the bistro.
However, in my opinion the Grand Lux Cafe at the Venetian is one of the most consistent restaurants we have visited. The food is always flavorful and when it is supposed to be hot, it is hot. The prices are not high per Las Vegas standards and the staff are always accommodating.
It may not have the ambience as some the elegant Vegas restaurants, but what it’s lacking in room décor it’s not lacking in the quality of their food. We have visited Grand Lux Café for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We have always found the quality, flavor, temperature, and staff to be highly consistent. I would definitely recommend if you visit Las Vegas to give the Grand Lux Café at the Venetian a try.
Until next time, happy creating.
