A cozy fall charcuterie board for two featuring warm caramelized figs, creamy brie, salty prosciutto, and sweet honey. Perfect for a date night in or a quiet evening by the fire.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4–6 fresh figs, halved
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 4 ounces prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 4 ounces salami (Genoa or soppressata), sliced
  • 4 ounces brie, at room temperature
  • 4 ounces aged cheddar, sliced
  • 2 ounces goat cheese, log style
  • 1/4 cup candied pecans
  • 1/4 cup dried apricots
  • 1/4 cup cornichons
  • 1 small baguette, sliced and toasted
  • 1 small bunch red grapes
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the figs: Heat a small skillet over medium heat. Add the halved figs, cut side down, and cook for 2-3 minutes until they start to caramelize. Flip them and cook for another minute. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of honey while they’re still warm. Remove from heat and let them cool slightly.
  2. Toast the baguette slices: While the figs are cooking, arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet. Brush lightly with olive oil and toast in a toaster oven or under the broiler for 2-3 minutes until golden.
  3. Arrange the cheese: Place the brie wheel on the left side of your board. Slice the aged cheddar into thin triangles and fan them out next to the brie. Place the goat cheese log in the center or on the right side.
  4. Add the meats: Fold the prosciutto slices into loose ribbons and arrange them in a small pile near the brie. Fan out the salami slices in a separate cluster.
  5. Add the figs and fruit: Place the warm, honey-drizzled figs in a small cluster near the goat cheese. Add the dried apricots and red grapes in small groups around the board. Scatter the candied pecans in the gaps.
  6. Add the pickles and honey: Pour the cornichons into a small bowl and place it on the board. Drizzle the remaining tablespoon of honey over the brie and goat cheese. You can also put the honey in a small ramekin for dipping.
  7. Garnish and serve: Tuck a few sprigs of fresh rosemary around the board for color. Place the toasted baguette slices in a small basket or on the edge of the board. Serve immediately while the figs are still warm.

Notes

For best results, use ripe but firm figs. Take brie and goat cheese out of the fridge 30 minutes before serving. Assemble the board just before serving to keep bread crisp. If you can’t find fresh figs, substitute with halved fresh pears or sliced apples.
