Ingredients

Scale
  • 9 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 3 cups mini pretzels
  • 1 cup salted peanuts
  • 2 cups candy corn
  • 1 cup candy pumpkins
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250°F. Line two rimmed baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine 9 cups Rice Chex cereal, 3 cups mini pretzels, and 1 cup salted peanuts. Toss gently.
  3. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt 1/2 cup unsalted butter. Whisk in 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (if using) until sugar dissolves.
  4. Pour the butter mixture over the cereal mixture and fold gently with a spatula until evenly coated.
  5. Divide the coated mixture evenly between the prepared baking sheets and spread in a single layer.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from oven, stir gently, and rotate sheets. Bake for another 10-15 minutes until lightly golden and fragrant.
  7. While baking, combine 2 tablespoons granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon in a small bowl.
  8. Remove baking sheets from oven and let cool for 10 minutes. Transfer to a large bowl and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar while still warm. Toss gently.
  9. Let cool completely (about 20 minutes), then fold in 2 cups candy corn and 1 cup candy pumpkins.
  10. Let the mix sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Toast pretzels separately for 5 minutes at 250°F before adding to keep them crunchy. Add candy corn only after the mix has cooled completely to prevent melting. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week. For best texture, store baked mix and candy corn separately and combine before serving.
