Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz Brie cheese
  • 6 oz Aged Cheddar
  • 4 oz Goat cheese log
  • 4 oz Prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 4 oz Soppressata, sliced
  • 2 fresh figs, quartered
  • 1 small apple (Honeycrisp or Fuji), sliced thin
  • 1 small pear (Bartlett or Anjou), sliced thin
  • 1/2 cup red seedless grapes
  • 1/2 cup candied pecans
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • Flaky sea salt (e.g., Maldon)
  • 1 small baguette, sliced and lightly toasted
  • A few sprigs of fresh rosemary (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prep Your Ingredients (5 minutes): Take the brie and goat cheese out of the fridge about 15 minutes before you start. Slice the baguette and toast it lightly in a 350°F oven for 5 minutes, or until just golden. Slice the apple and pear, and give them a quick squeeze of lemon juice to keep them from browning. Quarter the figs and rinse the grapes.
  2. Place the Cheeses First (2 minutes): Put the brie on the left side of the board, the cheddar on the right, and the goat cheese log in the center. Leave space around each one.
  3. Add the Meats (3 minutes): Fold the prosciutto slices into loose ribbons and place them near the brie. Fan out the soppressata slices next to the cheddar.
  4. Arrange the Fruits (3 minutes): Scatter the apple and pear slices in a cluster near the goat cheese. Place the fig quarters next to the brie. Add the grapes in small bunches around the board, filling in any empty spaces.
  5. Add the Crunch & Sweetness (2 minutes): Pour the candied pecans and dried cranberries into small bowls. Place one bowl near the cheddar and the other near the brie. Drizzle the honey over the brie and goat cheese, then finish everything with a light sprinkle of flaky sea salt.
  6. Garnish and Serve (2 minutes): Tuck the fresh rosemary sprigs around the board. Arrange the toasted baguette slices in a neat pile on the side. Serve immediately, or let it sit at room temperature for up to an hour before guests arrive.

Notes

For best flavor, let cheeses come to room temperature before serving. If the board feels sparse, add extra crackers or dried apricots. Leftover cheeses can be wrapped in wax paper and stored in the fridge; fruits and bread should be stored separately.
