Cozy Halloween Charcuterie Board - featured image

This isn’t your average, fussy charcuterie board. This is a board built for a quiet night in, a spooky movie marathon, or a small gathering of your favorite ghouls. It comes together in under 15 minutes with simple ingredients for the perfect sweet-and-salty Halloween snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup candy corn
  • 1 cup miniature peanut butter cups, unwrapped
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 4 ounces dark chocolate squares (70% cacao or higher), broken into pieces
  • 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, cubed
  • 4 ounces Gouda or smoked Gouda, sliced or cubed
  • 4 ounces salami or prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup pretzel sticks or mini twists
  • 1/2 cup roasted and salted almonds
  • 1 cup red seedless grapes, in small clusters
  • 2 clementines or mandarin oranges, peeled and segmented
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs for decoration

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients: Take cheeses out of fridge to come to room temperature for about 10 minutes. Cube sharp cheddar into 1/2-inch pieces. Slice or cube gouda. Wash and dry grapes. Peel clementines and separate into segments. Unwrap peanut butter cups. Break dark chocolate into rustic pieces.
  2. Place your ramekins: Position small bowls on the board first for visual balance. Fill one with candy corn, one with dried cranberries, and one with almonds.
  3. Add the cheese and meat: Arrange cheeses in different spots around the board. Place cubed cheddar in small scattered piles. Fan out gouda slices in another area. Fold salami slices into quarters or roll into cones and place near cheese.
  4. Fill in the gaps with fruit: Place small clusters of grapes in empty spaces. Scatter clementine segments around the board.
  5. Add the crunch and sweets: Sprinkle pretzel sticks and mini peanut butter cups in remaining gaps. Add dark chocolate pieces near the cheese.
  6. Final touches and decorate: Fill any large empty spaces with extra almonds or pretzels. Tuck fresh rosemary sprigs around edges of board. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best flavor, let cheese and salami sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes before serving. Keep candy corn in a ramekin away from moist ingredients to prevent stickiness. Use the ‘Rule of Three’ when arranging items in odd-numbered clusters for a more organic look. Don’t overcrowd the board—leave some space between clusters.
