This Cozy Maple Bourbon Friendsgiving Punch is a quick and easy holiday drink that combines bourbon, apple cider, maple syrup, and cranberry juice for a perfectly balanced, crowd-pleasing punch. It comes together in under 10 minutes and is ideal for Friendsgiving gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (16 oz) bourbon (e.g., Bulleit or Maker’s Mark)
  • 3 cups (24 oz) unsweetened apple cider
  • ½ cup pure maple syrup (Grade A dark amber)
  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
  • 1 cup (8 oz) 100% cranberry juice (unsweetened preferred)
  • 6–8 whole cloves
  • 3–4 cinnamon sticks
  • ½ cup fresh cranberries
  • 4–5 fresh rosemary sprigs
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced
  • Ice as needed (large cubes preferred)

Instructions

  1. In a large pitcher or punch bowl, combine bourbon, apple cider, maple syrup, and cranberry juice. Stir gently with a wooden spoon until maple syrup is fully dissolved (about 30 seconds).
  2. Squeeze fresh lemon juice into the mixture and stir again. Taste and adjust sweetness with additional maple syrup if needed.
  3. Drop in whole cloves and cinnamon sticks. Let them float; do not stir aggressively. If serving immediately, let steep for at least 5 minutes.
  4. Add fresh cranberries, rosemary sprigs, and orange slices. Push some orange slices into the liquid to release oils.
  5. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to meld flavors, or add ice directly to the pitcher if serving immediately. Use large ice cubes to slow dilution.
  6. Pour into glasses filled with ice. Ensure each glass gets a few cranberries and a rosemary sprig for garnish.

Notes

For best flavor, make ahead and refrigerate for a few hours. Add ice and fresh garnishes just before serving. To make non-alcoholic, omit bourbon and add 1 extra cup apple cider plus ½ cup strong brewed chai tea. For a warm version, combine all ingredients (except ice and garnishes) in a slow cooker on low for 2 hours and serve in mugs.
