A simple yet elegant charcuterie board for two, perfect for date nights or cozy evenings. Featuring a curated selection of meats, cheeses, fruits, and nuts, this board comes together in under 15 minutes and feels special without the fuss.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz Prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 4 oz Genoa Salami, sliced
  • 2 oz Soppressata (optional)
  • 4 oz Brie
  • 4 oz Aged Cheddar
  • 4 oz Goat Cheese log
  • 1/2 cup Red Grapes, seedless
  • 1 small Apple or Pear, sliced thin
  • 1/4 cup Fig Jam or Honey
  • 1/4 cup Dried Apricots
  • 1/2 cup Mixed Nuts (almonds, walnuts, or cashews)
  • 1/4 cup Crackers (water crackers or rosemary crackers)
  • 1 small Baguette, sliced into thin rounds
  • Fresh Rosemary or Thyme sprigs (optional)
  • Edible flowers (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start with the board. Place your wooden board or platter on a clean, flat surface. Make sure it’s dry and free of crumbs.
  2. Place the small bowls first. Set your ramekins or small bowls on the board. Fill one with fig jam or honey, and another with mixed nuts. Position them slightly off-center.
  3. Add the cheeses. Place the brie wheel in one corner, the aged cheddar wedge in another, and the goat cheese log in a third spot. Space them out so they aren’t touching each other. If the brie is cold from the fridge, let it sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving.
  4. Fold the meats. Take your prosciutto slices and fold them into loose ribbons or rosettes. For salami, fold each slice in half, then in half again, and fan them out around the cheeses.
  5. Add the fruits. Scatter the red grapes in small clusters around the board. Slice the apple or pear into thin wedges and arrange them in a fan pattern near the cheddar. Dried apricots can be tucked between the meats and cheeses.
  6. Fill in with crackers and bread. Arrange the crackers and baguette slices in the empty spaces. I like to create small stacks or overlapping rows. Leave some crackers loose so your partner can grab them easily.
  7. Add the finishing touches. Drizzle a little honey over the goat cheese or brie. Tuck fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs between the ingredients for color and aroma. If you’re using edible flowers, scatter them lightly over the board just before serving.
  8. Serve immediately. Place the board in the center of your table or coffee table. Add two small plates, napkins, and a couple of cheese knives.

Notes

For best flavor, let cheeses sit at room temperature for 20-30 minutes before assembling. If preparing ahead, cover loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 2 hours; let sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving. Customize based on what you have—use only two cheeses if desired, or swap fruits seasonally.
