Christmas Tree Cake Dip - featured image

This creamy, dreamy Christmas Tree Cake Dip tastes just like the Little Debbie treats we loved as kids, but it’s a dip! Ready in 10 minutes with just 5 ingredients, it’s the perfect last-minute dessert for holiday parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup vanilla frosting (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (pure)
  • 1/2 cup white vanilla baking chips, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup holiday sprinkles (green and red jimmies)

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese: Take cream cheese out of fridge at least 30 minutes before starting. If forgotten, microwave on low in 10-second intervals until soft but not melted.
  2. Beat the cream cheese: Place softened cream cheese in a mixing bowl. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for about 2 minutes until completely smooth and fluffy. Scrape down sides and bottom of bowl at least once.
  3. Add the frosting: Scoop in 1 cup of vanilla frosting. Beat on low speed for 30 seconds, then increase to medium and beat for another minute until pale and airy like a thick mousse. Do not overbeat.
  4. Mix in the vanilla: Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Beat on low just until combined, about 15 seconds. Scrape bowl again. Taste and add another 1/4 teaspoon vanilla if needed.
  5. Fold in the chopped vanilla chips: Using a rubber spatula, gently fold in the 1/2 cup of finely chopped white vanilla baking chips until evenly distributed but not dissolved.
  6. Add the sprinkles: Sprinkle in 1/4 cup of holiday sprinkles and fold gently with 3-4 strokes. Reserve 1 tablespoon of sprinkles for garnish.
  7. Chill (optional but recommended): Transfer dip to serving dish, spread evenly, and sprinkle reserved sprinkles on top. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  8. Serve: Bring dip to the table with chosen dippers arranged around it.

Notes

Make sure cream cheese is at room temperature to avoid lumps. Chop vanilla chips finely (pea-sized) for even distribution. Chill for at least 30 minutes for best texture. Can be made up to 2 days ahead. For dairy-free, use dairy-free cream cheese and frosting. For gluten-free, use gluten-free dippers.
