This creamy, no-cook overnight oats recipe combines rolled oats, chia seeds, and mixed berries for a fiber-packed breakfast that’s ready when you are. It’s a healthy, make-ahead meal that keeps you full until lunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (50g) rolled oats (old-fashioned)
  • 2 tablespoons (20g) chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) milk of choice (unsweetened almond milk recommended)
  • 1/4 cup (60g) plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup (75g) mixed berries (frozen or fresh; blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) maple syrup or honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon almond butter, sprinkle of cinnamon, 1 teaspoon flaxseed meal, or scoop of collagen powder

Instructions

  1. In a mason jar or airtight container, combine 1/2 cup rolled oats and 2 tablespoons chia seeds. Stir to distribute chia seeds evenly.
  2. Add 1/2 cup milk and 1/4 cup Greek yogurt. Stir well to combine.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon maple syrup, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt. Mix until fully incorporated.
  4. Gently fold in 1/2 cup mixed berries. If using frozen berries, do not thaw first.
  5. Seal the jar and shake gently, or stir again to ensure everything is mixed.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight (8-12 hours).
  7. In the morning, stir the oats. If too thick, add a splash of milk. Top with fresh berries, a drizzle of honey, or granola if desired.

Notes

For best texture, use rolled oats (not instant). Chia seeds absorb liquid; adjust ratio if needed. Make up to 4 days in advance; add fresh berries in the morning to avoid mushiness. If meal-prepping, leave out berries and add them before serving. For a thinner consistency, add extra milk. Do not freeze.
