A creamy, dreamy chocolate dip made with Greek yogurt and cocoa powder that comes together in just five minutes. Perfect for cozy nights, this healthier twist on hot chocolate is served with crunchy graham crackers for dipping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240g) plain Greek yogurt (full-fat or 2%)
  • ¼ cup (25g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons (24g) powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips (optional)
  • Graham crackers (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Take Greek yogurt out of fridge about 10 minutes before starting to soften.
  2. Sift the ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder into a small bowl to remove lumps.
  3. In a medium mixing bowl, combine 1 cup Greek yogurt, 3 tablespoons powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
  4. Gradually add sifted cocoa powder to yogurt mixture, stirring continuously until fully incorporated and uniform chocolate color.
  5. Sprinkle in a pinch of salt and stir to enhance chocolate flavor.
  6. If using, gently fold in 2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips.
  7. Taste and adjust sweetness or chocolate flavor as desired.
  8. For best texture, cover and refrigerate 10-15 minutes before serving.
  9. Transfer to a serving bowl and arrange graham crackers around it on a platter. Serve immediately or keep chilled.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature Greek yogurt. Sift cocoa powder to avoid lumps. Full-fat or 2% Greek yogurt provides the creamiest texture. The dip thickens as it chills; let sit at room temperature 5-10 minutes before serving if refrigerated. Store in airtight container in refrigerator for up to 4 days. Not recommended for freezing.
